11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Trenton is a C in the 2028 class out of Victorville, CA. Defensively, he had a staggered stance to gain ground on his throw downs with a quick exchange and accuracy to the bag. He had good mechanics when blocking by being on time and tucking his chin to keep the ball in front. Offensively, he utilizes a square stance with a small load and good timing to have his hips and hands work together to execute a line drive approach. Trenton could benefit from a long toss program to continue to improve arm strength. With 7+ years of development we believe Trenton can really develop into a strong player.

09/19/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - San Bernardino, CA Trenton is a C/3B prospect who will graduate high school in 2028. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of time to add strength throughout. Primary C, he showed athletic actions and has active/efficient. Sets up in an athletic/square fielding position, with an easy sway, working his thumb under and keeping balls in zone. Creates good blocking angles, with a soft chest, and is quick to his feet. Good direction to second base, with a clean transfer, and accurate/on-line throws. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 62mph with a best pop time of 2.75 seconds. In the infield, he starts with fluid feet and ability to work around the baseball. Fields from an athletic fielding position and fields the ball out front. Quick transfers into a high 3/4 release point with momentum to target. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Level head enables to track pitches well and gets on-plane early. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 70mph during BP. With continued growth and development, we see him having a good high school career and beyond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
