02/01/2015 - College PREP - Houston, TX Trenton is an athletic SS that ran a 6.89 sixty in his first outing with Baseball Factory. Offensively, he has good balance from the ground up and got his hands activated to launch. He works the barrel on a direct path down to contact and gets extended through the ball. He uses his hands and hips to generate bat speed and is aggressive to attack balls in the zone. Staying loose with his upper half and becoming more consistently short down to the ball are steps to further growth. Defensively, he was aggressive to the baseball and made plays with his hands in front. He was sure with the glove and had good feel around the bag to turn double plays. All in all - Trenton is an intriguing player that showed have a very good sophomore season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
