12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Trevor is a dedicated catcher from Jacksonville, FL, in the 2027 graduating class who has worked hard to develop his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. Behind the plate, he presents a strong target with excellent pocket awareness and maintains a low secondary stance. He quickly replaces his feet on throws and has a quick exchange, allowing him to get rid of the baseball efficiently. His arm velocity reaches up to 80 mph, with a best pop time of 2.15 seconds. While his throwing mechanics are solid, improving his blocking technique will help him become even more effective behind the plate. At the plate, Trevor starts in a closed stance with loose hands, showcasing a simple swing and fast barrel. His consistent contact and aggressive approach make him a tough out. In live game action, he reached base five times—recording a double, three singles, and a walk—demonstrating his ability to get on base and contribute offensively. A hardworking player who hustles on every play, Trevor has a great work ethic. With two more years of growth and development, he has the potential to continue refining his skills and become a standout player.

01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Trevor is a 2027 C/OF prospect that recently showed his skills at the Rookie Pre-Season All-American Tournament. Behind the dish, he gets in a low receiving position and gives his pitcher a good target. He tracks the ball well and impresses when receiving. He does a great job of getting a quick exchange and gaining ground when making throws to 2nd and 3rd. He has a quick arm action and makes accurate throws to his targets. He creates good angles when blocking balls in the dirt and does a great job of tucking his chin and centering the baseball. At the plate, he starts in a squared, tall stance and has high, loose hands. He gets a small load and has a short stride to the pitcher. He stays on-time with his rhythm and shows off an impressive on-plane swing. He displays good barrel control and is able to use all fields when hitting. He reached base in 4 of 7 plate appearances with a single and three walks. With continued development, Trevor will be a prospect we will definitely be keeping an eye on!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
