08/15/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Tennessee, TN Trevor is a lean, athletic 2B who showed well at the All Ripken games. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square ground balls up but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He has plus range as he utilizes his foot quickness well in covering a lot of ground. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are loose and work to through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a long swing path with makes him pull prone but battles at the plate. Working to load more will aid in improving hitting / power potential. Trevor has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
