07/28/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 17U Trevor is a hard-working 2022 OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Southwest Championship. Trevor continues to show improvement in all of his measurables. He ran a camp best 6.60 60-yard dash. In the OF, starts on the balls of his feet with quick feet and works behind/through the baseball. Good 1st step reads enable him to take aggressive routes to the baseball and flip his hips and run down balls in all directions. He tracks the baseball well as he works behind/through the ball with a high 1-hand catch. Fields from an athletic fielding position, with soft hands, and has a short arm action. Throws are accurate, with good momentum to his target, and has good carry into the infield with an arm velocity up to 93mph. A right-handed pitcher, he shows electric stuff with a huge upside on the bump. Good presence on the mound and a good feel for pitching. He keeps his shoulders in line to target, with a controlled landing, and gets his chest over his front knee. Attacks hitters with a FB that sat 88-90mph with cutting action and a 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth and tight spin. Both his fastball and breaking ball project as swing and miss pitches. During the games, he punched out 9 batters and threw 70% of his pitches for strikes. A right-handed hitter begins with a wide base and an even stance with comfortable hands. He covers a ton of ground with speed, working behind and through the ball. Transfer is smooth as he gains ground and fires strong throws (91 mph). Runners won't want to test his cannon for an arm. As a hitter, this righty displays a balanced stance with fluid rhythm to load. He tracks pitches into the zone and off of the barrel, whipping the bat through with a ton of speed and connecting with power. He hits the ball where it's pitched and sprays it to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 94 mph). Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
