10/28/2012 - College PREP - Corpus Christi, TX In Trey's first Factory outing he showed particularly well offensively. At the dish, the second basemen has an athletic setup, smooth load, square stride, fast bat speed with flashes of explosive bat speed, on-plane swing path, and an ability to make consistently hard contact. He is a spray/power type hitter with good fluid rhythm. At times, his front side opens too soon and he looses the middle-away/away pitch. Defensively, he has a long/loose arm from the high 3/4 arm slot. He is aggressive with his first step and plays through balls. He has fluid footwork and is athletic in his fielding position with a clean/quick exchange. Trey should implement a throwing program to continue strengthening his arm and work with short hop drills to soften his hands. The 5'9"/160 lbs second basemen projects well in the middle of the infield at the next level with an increased ability to hit, he should find himself to be a factor for a club.
