01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Trey is an athletic 2027 2B/OF who showcased his talents at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 2B, he starts on the balls of his feet and has fluid footwork. He fields from a low fielding position with his hands presented out front. He attacks the ball well and has a quick and clean exchange. He throws from multiple arm slots with great accuracy and life across the infield. Trey showed great athleticism in the infield and had a good feel for the position. At the plate, the left-handed hitter starts in an open stance and has a short stride. He has controlled rhythm and gets his lower thru well. He has quick hands and keeps his swing path on-plane. With a lot of time to grow, we are excited to see what Trey accomplishes on the baseball field.

06/18/2023 - National Showcase - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Trey continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At 2B, he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Trey is a OF/2B in the 2027 class out of California. Defensively, he displayed smooth footwork with the ability to work through the baseball on time and make accurate throws to his target. Offensively, he has an athletic set up with a controlled stride to be on time for the baseball and has an explosive lower half which allows him to make hard contact with gap to gap power. Trey could benefit from a long toss program but is an athletic player who will grow to be a promising prospect in the future.

05/31/2021 - All-In Membership - Sacramento, CA Trey is a lean OF/2B who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active but needs to work to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half leads the swing and he maintains balance. With 6 years to further develop, Trey has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
