01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Tristan is a lean 2B/RHP who have a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with 3 BB. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 60-64 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Tristan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
