11/19/2023 - National Showcase - Houston, TX Tristan is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 3B, shows efficient footwork, with ability to cut down distance, and good body control at the baseball. He shows ability to cover ground and fields from a low fielding position with a low funnel. Has a short/loose arm and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Made consistent throws, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 80mph across diamond. On the mound, he works with good tempo and picks up his target early. He gathers over the rubber, with a good balance position, and separates his hands on time. He throws a FB that sits 77-80mph with tailing action, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and a developing changeup. CB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance. Shows ability to hit balls out front and has a high finish. During his round of BP, he hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
