11/08/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training (MS) Tristen is a dedicated 6th-grade shortstop from Florence, Montana, who made great strides at the Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training in Arizona. Defensively, he starts on the balls of his feet with an active prep step and demonstrates solid footwork, consistently maintaining a low fielding position with soft hands out front. His low funnel and loose arm action are key strengths, but he will need to focus on improving his arm strength to make more consistent throws across the diamond as he matures. At the plate, Tristen shows good promise as a right-handed hitter. His loose hands and short glide step allow him to get his lower half through the swing effectively, staying on plane and making consistent contact to all fields. Tristen's solid actions, competitive nature, and strong work ethic suggest that he has a bright future ahead. As he continues to grow and mature, he has the potential to become a very well-rounded player with the ability to impact both sides of the game. With continued focus on his development, Tristen will only improve and evolve into a more complete player.
