01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Tristian continues to show improvements on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. He is a quality receiver at the bag, displaying proper footwork. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 48-51 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/27/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - San Antonio, TX Tristian is a 1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 1B, Tristian gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Tristian improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He drives through well with his lower half and makes solid contact. Tristian can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With seven more years to develop, Tristian has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

05/12/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - San Antonio, TX Tristian is a young 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. In the field, Tristian makes the routine plays and keeps his throws consistent to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He takes a direct swing and sprays the ball to all fields. On the mound, Tristian gathers over the rubber and works with a loose arm. He stays inline towards the plate and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Tristian shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 52mph. Changeup sits from 50-52mph. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
