12/02/2022 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Tristen is an OF in the 2024 class. Tristen is a solid OF prospect in the 2024 class. In the field, his feet work well and creates angles to stay inside the baseball. Has pocket awareness and feel and can transfer with quick and clean actions. Uses a high slot to produce accurate feeds with carry (80 velo). Sinking his hips will allow him to stay in his legs longer to generate more back hip drive on his throws. At the plate, he is a very disciplined hitter. Rarely chases the ball out of the zone with a balanced swing. Obtains a positive separation in his launch phase and squares the back of the baseball for hard contact. Shows line drive production to both gaps. Overall, Tristen is a player to watch in the 2024 class.

06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Tristin continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. He utilizes his quick feet (7.14 60 time) in covering a lot of ground in the OF. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 4 for 8 with 2 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/20/2022 - All-In Membership - Tiverton (Providence), RI Tristin is a young, athletic, OF with solid skills. Defensively, Tristin has quick/fluid footwork, soft/presentable hands, and he gets good reads off the bat. He has active feet, makes plays cleanly, and throws with accuracy and consistency from a loose arm action to his target. Added aggressiveness and arm strength will help defensive skills get better. At the plate, Tristin has a crouched stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He loads his hands well, shows fast bat speed, and makes square contact gap to gap. A wider base and added physical strength will help spike hitting numbers.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
