07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC Triston is a hardworking and athletic 2B/RHP in the 2029 class out of Jacksonville, FL. He recently impressed scouts with his actions as a two-way player at the National World Series event. Scouts said “Triston is a tough player who never takes a pitch off. He is always striving to get better and asks a lot of great questions on how to take his game to the next level”. In the field, he has a quick 1st step and creates athletic actions. His glove is clean and can use multiple arm slots based upon his defensive zones. Has high awareness around the bag on his feeds and spins and arm works with its accuracy. On the mound, he has clean mechanics from a 3 qtr. slot. His FB sits 66-8 with sinking action. His CB is developing and was in the zone. Working to stay on top more will increase its downward tilt. At the plate, he is a tough out. He collected a 2B and 2 BB’s on the week to go along with numerous quality at bats. Scouts like his barrel path and with more lower half engagement, he can really take off as a hitter. Overall, Triston had a great week, and scouts can't wait to see him on the diamond again.

01/28/2024 - National Showcase - Jacksonville , FL Triston is a 2029 LHH 2B prospect that recently showed his skills at the National Showcase in Jacksonville. At second, he shows off active feet and agile range to both the backhand and glove side. He squares the ball up and does a nice job of funneling with hands out in front. He does a great job of getting his hips turned to his target to make throws. He has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, staying accurate with his throws. He does a good job of following his flips to second on double play balls. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance and has a squared stride with a good load. He does a good job of keeping his head still and he moves fluidly to the baseball. He keeps his balance centered and works through the ball with his lower half. He has an on-plane swing and does a great job of staying in the hitting zone. He projects as a line-drive hitter that can make consistent contact. We are looking forward to seeing more of Triston in the future!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
