01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Triston is a 2028 OF/C who showcased his talents at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the outfield, he starts on the balls of his feet and has a good pre-pitch step. He has good range and fields from an athletic position. Triston throws from a ¾ arm slot and has accurate throws with good carry. He was aggressive to the baseball and did a good job of working towards his target. At the plate, he starts from a square stance and has comfortable hands. Triston has a short stride and timely rhythm. He has good bat speed which produced a lot of line drives. He was aggressive in the zone and did a good job of hitting the ball where it is pitched. Triston is one to keep an eye on as he continues to develop into a ball player.

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Triston continues to show as a very good prospect. Still only in 8th grade, we saw increased arm strength to 84 mph. He shows his strong arm behind the plate where his pop time has been lowered to 2.37. He has an athletic set up and catcher and is a good blocker and receiver. In the outfield, he continues to show an athletic approach with good footwork and a quick release. At the plate, Triston has good bat speed and his hands stay inside the ball while staying level. Triston has a very high ceiling.

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Triston is a 2028 OF/RHP prospect that recently showed his skills at the All-State Tournament in Mississippi. In the OF, he does well to get in an athletic ready position and shows off efficient feet, working behind the baseball and tracking well to make plays. He has range to all angles and squares the ball up, presenting soft hands out in front and catching the ball high. He shows off a quick exchange and in-sync release, making accurate throws with a loose arm action. He recorded a raw velo of 69 MPH, improving on his previous mark. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance with comfortable hands. His load is simple and his stride is centered, and he shows off controlled rhythm with his action and an engaged lower half. He has a very repeatable swing and shows off fast bat speed, allowing him to spray the ball to all fields. He recorded a max exit velo of 71 MPH and reached base in 3 of 7 plate appearances in game action with a single, walk, and hit by pitch. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 angle and features a 4-pitch mix. He has a good presence on the bump and gathers his balance while getting on-time separation. His arm action is clean and he gets good extension, especially on the fastball. His FB reached a velo of 63 MPH and he really uses it as a pitch to attack hitters. He lived around the plate in game action, firing 2 innings and striking out 1. Overall, Triston is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see continue to develop!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Triston is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2028. Good frame athletic build and room to add more strength. In the OF, starts with active feet and aggressive routes to ground balls. Square fielding position, with a short arm action, and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Accurate/on-line throws, with a quick release, into infield at 66mph. At the plate, he sets up with an open and athletic stance. Short/square stride as he hits into a firm front side and makes hard contact. Ability to backspin balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity of 64mph. In live game action, Triston showed competitive at bats. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

10/16/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Washington, DC Triston raised velocity to 68 MPH and showed solid all around improvements in his game during his last workout in DC. In the OF, Triston fields athletically, hands are presentable, and he makes plays consistently. He fields in rhythm, his exchange is quick, and throws with accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, Triston has good balance, a solid delivery, and he separatess his hands on time. He has a clean arm circle, gets good extension on his pitches, and finishes with his chest out over his front knee. Offensively, Triston stands in the box squarely, he has good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He swings on plane, he makes square contact, and he sprays the ball to all fields.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
