12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Ty is a tall 5'9" 130 lb OF/RHP in the 2028 class. He performed well and made great strides at the West Coast Winter Classic. Scouts loved his work ethic, coachability and willingness to make adjustments to improve. In the field, he gets reads off the bat well and works to position his body behind the baseball. He catches at the highest point and he can redirect the baseball with clean actions. Arm slot is a high 3 qtr. and can hit 66 on his velo back to the dirt. Working to sink his hips more will allow him to stay in his legs and create more explosion on his routes and throwing. On the mound, he has a good presence and stays composed regardless of the result. He stays inline to his target and can control the run game well. His FB sat 56-57 and working to be more aggressive in the zone will assist his abilities. Mixed in a 10-4 shaped CB and maintaining FB arm speed will create further tilt on the baseball. At the plate, he begins in a tall and open stance. His hands are loose and comfortable and he can generate consistent contact. Looked to attack the inside part of the baseball and drive it to the backside. Collected a big RBI single in the final game. Overall, Ty is a player who has a high drive for success and more practice and in game reps will allow for future development. Scouts enjoyed working with him and look forward to seeing his development at future BF events.
