02/14/2010 - College PREP - Middleton, WI Ty showed similar skills in Madison, WI as he did at the PC World Series. He improved in several categories including lowering his 60-time from 8.28 to 7.78. On the mound, Ty works on top of the baseball and throws downhill. He has a good release, life on his FB, and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. Ty's CH showed to be his best off-speed pitch and with better CB control, and more polished mechanics, his ability on the mound can improve. At 3B, Ty has soft hands, he fields the ball out in front, and makes plays on balls hit his way. He flashes a good backhand, and his throws across the diamond have life and carry on them. Offensively, Ty improved his overall hitting and power numbers from 42 to 45. He has a good set-up, his hands are quick, and he throws them to the ball. Ty works the ball to all fields, and with a better weight transfer and a more level swing, his offensive grades can further improve.
