11/22/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Ty continues to shows as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.94 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and reads balls well off the bat, displaying range. Throws are accurate with on line carry (81 mph exit velocity) to his target. At the plate, hitting / power potential are now excellent through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

04/28/2019 - College PREP - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Ty is a lanky OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing -his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 78-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard resembling fastball. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Ty has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
