05/23/2010 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Taylor is a young, 2014 graduate, RHP with a thin, lanky frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature, filling out. He has rhythm in his delivery but has some flaws in his mechanics that are not allowing his arm action to work at full potential. Fastball shows a range of 74-77 mph with slight sink. Sinker is his best off speed pitch with a plus feel for. Changeup is average as he slows arm speed, tipping off pitch. He needs to work on developing a breaking ball pitch. Control is average as he is around the plate with all his pitches. With 3 years to further develop, Hasper has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
