01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Tyler showed good abilities in his game during his time at the UA Preseason All-America. He currently projects better at 3B than on the mound. At 3B, Tyler has good hands, feet, and a good exchange. He fields the ball out in front of his body, he makes plays, and he throws accurately across the diamond. If Tyler can keep his front side from flying open, he may be able to get more on his throws. On the mound, Tyler has good balance and is inline with his delivery. He throws strikes, pitches to contact, and isn't afraid to go at hitters. Pitching grades can improve if Tyler can avoid throwing across his body and add more arm strength. Offensively, Tyler has good balance and bat speed. He has a level swing, can hit to all fields, and has pop in his bat. Tyler makes good use of his hips, and if he can avoid flying open, we could see hitting and power grades continue to improve.
