10/27/2013 - College PREP - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Tyler is a long athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays 3B. Behind the plate, Tyler has playable hands and feet, and he tracks the ball well. He is quick to his feet when blocking, he looks the ball into his glove, and he throws with accuracy and pop times as low as 2.15. Catching can improve with better flexibility, a softy glove, and blocking sooner. At 3B, Tyler moves well to the ball, he fields in a square position, and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He has a clean exchange, and delivers with ball with decent accuracy to his target. Tyler will need to play lower, more through the ball, and loosen his arm action for defense to get better. Offensively, Tyler has an athletic set-up, level hands, and he swings in good rhythm. He gets solid extension through the ball, and flashes pop in his stick. More lower body and finishing his swing can help spike offensive numbers.
