07/17/2023 - National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Tyler is a talented 1B/LHP in the 2027 class. Displays an athletic frame at 5ft 10/160 with room to grow. In the field, he plays with high energy and athletic movements. His feet are in sync with his body and his hands are sure. Arm is loose and accurate at 80 velo. Loads of potential around the bag. On the mound, he commands both sides of the plates and uses his body well. His FB sat 72-3 with run. His CB/SL combo sat 60/65 with late break and 12-6 spin. His CH was his best pitch with run and excellent deception. At the plate, he has fast twitch movements and gains leverage into the baseball. Hits off a firm front side, and his barrel is on-plane. Can use the the whole field and the power is coming. Overall, scouts raved about his ability and feel he has a bright future ahead of him on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
