09/28/2014 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Tyler is a rising Junior corner infielder. Defensively, he has efficient footwork with good body control. His soft hands and ability to play through the ball allow him to get rid of it quickly. Long tossing and working from the ground-up will improve Tyler's ability at 3B. Offensively, he has a square setup with a solid/balanced power position. He has a level swing and connects using all fields with some pop. By activating his hands, loading earlier and becoming more fluid, Tyler's abilities at the plate will improve. He has a solid all-around tool set and should find success on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
