12/15/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Madison (NYC), NJ Tyler is a young, 2-way player who pitches and catches. On the mound, Tyler has good balance, he separates his hands on time, and he lands with good direction toward home. He throws strikes and has good feel for his CH. Behind the plate, Tyler plays with energy, he is aggressive blocking, and he throws with a high 3/4 arm slot to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 3.03 seconds. Offensively, Tyler has a tall/open stance, he loads well, and stands in well balanced. He has a short swing path and shows the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
