02/18/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Tyler is an OF/2B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with strength present. In the OF, showed fluid/active feet, with good agility, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields from an athletic fielding position and fields out front. Showed ability to flip his hips and work behind/through the baseball with a clean gather off left foot. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and arm velocity up to 77mph into infield. In the infield, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with active/efficient feet, and showed athletic movements. Fields from a square fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and has soft hands. Has a clean transfer and made accurate throws from multiple arm slots. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance. He hits into a firm frontside, with weight between his knees, and gets extended out front. A flat barrel path enables him to square up balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph during BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

12/20/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at JRTC - Session 1 Tyler is a 2026 2B who showcased his ability at the BF Christmas Camp and Tournament. At 2B, he starts with smooth footwork as he works from right to left. Closes distance on batted balls with ability to finish plays. Has a low funnel with a 2-hand transfer and showed ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Made accurate throws to first base with arm velocity up to 75mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Gets a good hip turn to contact point. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph during BP. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Tyler as he enters his freshman baseball season.

11/13/2022 - All-In Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Tyler is an OF/2B in the 2026 class. In the OF, scouts feel has solid mechanics and smooth actions. He is aggressive and attack the baseball with controlled movements. He has pocket awareness and his exchanges are clean. He uses short arm action and releases from a high ¾ slot. His feeds are accurate and on-line to his target. Working to follow his throw upon release with generate further depth. On the dirt, his feet are active and he creates agile movements to and through the baseball. Fields in an athletic base with pocket feel. He can redirect the baseball quickly with loose ¾ action and be accurate with his feeds. Displays solid footwork around the bag on his turns and feeds. At the plate, he swings with intent to do damage. He is compact and his swing is easily repeatable. His barrel is on plane and currently shows pull side production. Creating some flexion in his grip will allow him to stay inside the baseball more for full field production. Overall, Tyler showed some plus actions and scouts are excited to see what adjustments he has made at future events.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
