Tyler is an athletic MIF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Tyler shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is quick and he makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap power. Overall, Tyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Tyler continues to shine on the diamond. At 2B, feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate to his target. At the plate, he shows a balanced / squared setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 70-73 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual shape. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Tyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60, now a 7.34 runner. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 67-69 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Tyler showed offensive and defensive improvements during his time in Pirate City. At the plate, Tyler has a tall/open stance, good balance, and solid barrel extension through. He swings in good rhythm, is short to the ball, and makes consistent contact. At 2nd base, Tyler has good pre-pitch actions, he fields cleanly, and can throw from multiple arm slots with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Tyler has a clean arm circle, good leg drive, and he works in good rhythm. He has a controlled landing toward home and competes in the zone.
05/20/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Nyack (NYC), NY
Tyler keeps showing improvement as an athletic 2B/RHP. In the field, Tyler continues to show good actions by using his fluid feet to create angles and reaching balls in the holes. He shows a low fielding position and presents soft hands out front of his body while making clean exchanges into accurate throws from multiple arm slots. On the mound, Tyler has improved his already solid mechanics with his three pitches (4SM FB, 2SM FB and CB). He has good balance with a live arm and good arm action (High 3/4 arm slot), extending through the zone upon release. Both fastballs show late run with solid velocity (4SM 73-75mph/ 2SM 72-74mph) and has good control (11/15 strikes). Tyler can improve on the mound by using more of his lower half and adding a CH to his arsenal. At the plate, Tyler continues to show good actions through a line drive approach. He has a crouched set up with a square stride and a good back side hand load. Rhythm is smooth and fluid as he keeps his balance center and shows a firm front half, utilizing his legs in his swing. Tyler keeps a flat, direct swing path and makes consistent contact with the ball, extending through the zone upon contact. Tyler can improve offensively by keeping his hands inside and staying short to the ball. Tyler is young and continues to show promise on the field with his improvements.
09/04/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Troy (Albany), NY
Tyler showed nice overall improvements all over the field during his time in Troy, NY. He improved abilities at 2nd base, showing active footwork, clean hands, and a presentable glove. Tyler has a good backhand, a clean exchange, and a short arm action with accuracy to his target. Continuing to field out in front and adding arm strength will continue to help INF skills improve. On the hill, Tyler has a clean arm action, on-time separation, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He shows solid overall mechanics and with added physical strength and continued reps, mound effectiveness will continue to improve. Offensively, Tyler is an aggressive hitter with a proper load, good bat speed, and he uses his lower body. He swings in good rhythm, makes square contact, and flashes a line drive approach. More bat speed and improved timing can help hitting grades rise.
07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14)
Tyler continues to show a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he displays proper footwork and moves well laterally. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range will continue to increase as he increases foot quickness. He did throw on the mound for the first time with fastball showing a range of 63-65 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
06/04/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Troy (Albany), NY
Tyler is a 2B who will graduate in 2021. Defensively at 2B, he shows athletic actions as he gets into a square fielding position on GB's. He fields the ball with soft hands and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. At the plate, this RHH uses a middle of the field approach with fluid rhythm to load. He rips his lower 1/2 through and creates consistent contact with each pitch. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.
