01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Tyler is an ambidextrous 2027 SS/RHP out of Honolulu, HI who showcased his talents at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Tyler brings a different side of the game that not many other players have. He showed great athleticism being able to do things with both arms while making it look natural. In the infield, he starts in an athletic position and has effective footwork. He has good range and takes good routes to the baseball taking little to no wasted steps. He fields from a low position and has a quick-clean exchange. Tyler showed his ability to throw from multiple arm slots and looked comfortable turning double plays. At the plate, he looks very relaxed. He has an activated load and good timing from both sides of the plate. He has a smooth swing path and made consistent contact during batting practice. In game, he picked up 3 hits using the entire field. On the mound, he proved to be very effective picking up a total of 7 strikeouts in his outing while throwing from the left and right side. His fastball had some sink and his curveball had some sweeping action. Tyler has sound mechanics and does a great job using his legs. Tyler will continue to impress scouts as he continues to grow and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in the next few seasons.
