08/05/2010 - Vero Beach Pro Select Training and Competition - 2010 Tyrel is a two-way player on the mound plus in the OF with a big, strong frame that is well suited for his positions. Currently, he projects best in the OF for the next level. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.38 60 time. Feet are active and aggressive to the ball as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down ball as he works to get behind to play through with momentum to his target. Hands and feet work well together as gets rid of the baseball quickly. Throws show accuracy, flashing carry as he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to further develop more carry and arm strength. Offensively, Stockwell shows a athletic setup with hands working directly to the ball through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. He has natural, raw strength and displays future power potential as he makes hard contact, creating backspin. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 75-78 mph with downward sink. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with sweeping action as he works entirely out of the stretch. Tyrel has a ton of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his abilities.
