09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Tysen is an 1B/RHP in the 2025 class. Scouts love his frame (6’3/171) and quickness (7.15 runner). In the field, he moves well around the bag and defenders love his target. He plays low to the ground and has solid pocket feel. His transfers are quick and clean and arm is loose. On the mound, he works out of the stretch with a two-pitch mix. His FB sits 66-7 and he can work both sides of the plate. His CB sat 52-5 with 11-5 shape with plus control. He is aggressive and looks to attack. At the plate, he has the potential to become a major force. He shows pull-side production. The swing is compact and his stride is quiet and soft. Working to gain separation and stay in his legs will allow Tysen to take off as a hitter. Overall, this two-way prospect has the potential to become an elite player. With continued hard work, proper repetitions and a strength program, the sky is the limit for Tysen

02/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Tysen is a 1B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame, with high waist, athletic build and strength present. At 1B, he starts with a prep step, with active/efficient footwork, and has good lateral range. He fields from a square fielding position, with soft hands out front, and spins glove side to make throws to second base. He creates momentum to his target and squares up to throw. His throws come from a 3/4 release point with an arm velocity up to 73mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. Tysen is a projectible hitter who utilizes his lower half well. Has a good approach at the plate and only offers at pitches in the zone. Showed natural strength in swing, with ability to deliver the barrel, and has a fast bat through the hitting zone. Hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph during his round of BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
