Glove action is soft, clean and sure in making the plays. Throws show accuracy, flashing carry as he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to further develop more arm strength. Offensively, Gonzalez shows a balanced approach showing a short, compact swing, flashing bat speed. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a level swing path. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-76 mph with arm side run. Changeup is best off speed pitch, showing an average feel for with arm side sink. Breaking ball is below average, needing further development to be quality pitches at the next level. With 2 years to further develop, Vidal has potential to be a solid player at the next level as he continues to improve. He is a tough competitor with a solid mental makeup.
