08/23/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Portland, OR Vince is a lean 2B/RHP who will graduate in 2025. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 63-65 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Vince has potential with time and room to progress his game.

07/08/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Portland, OR Vince is a young, athletic, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and RHP. Defensively, Vince has active feet, good range, and he attacks the ball aggressively. He fields in a low position, has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Vince stands over the rubber well balanced, he keeps his eyes on target, and has a controlled landing toward home plate. Offensively, Vince has a square set-up, good balance, and a level swing. He can work the ball to the opposite field and finishes in a good position. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
