This simple setup and stride and load gets him to a great launch position, and this allows him to attack the baseball very well. Vencenzo displays great use of his hands during the swing, which allows him to hit hard line drives on a consistent basis. Vincenzo needs to focus on his contact points, he tends to get out in front with contact which breaks his swing down at times. He tends to let his hips drift during the swing and this is caused by him being early with the swing. If he lets the baseball travel into the hitting zone, he will be able to keep his hips between his knees, and not drift forward during the swing.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
