12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Walker is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who made adjustments well during his time at the Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Walker fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange to throw. He has a quick release on his throws and keeps them accurate and on-line to his target. Walker can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to solid contact to the gaps. Walker can improve as a hitter by getting into his load earlier. On the mound, Walker shows a fluid delivery and works downhill. His fastball tops out at 80mph with good arm side run. Walker can improve as a pitcher by getting on a long toss program to build up his arm strength. Overall, Walker is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
