08/16/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory All-America Game powered by Under Armour Wes is an outstanding 2-way prospect as a LHP and OF. On the mound, the Florida 5A Player of the Year led Jesuit to the State Championship and is the guy you want on the mound in a big game. He is poised on the mound with a quiet confidence and the stuff to back it up. He has an easy delivery that leads to consistent strikes from his high 3/4 release. Wes runs his fastball into the low 90s and has an outstanding curve that 2-plane break that includes some late downer action. While those are his main two weapons, he also turns over a change that is a legitimate third pitch, and occasionally mixes in a cutter/slider. As a position player, Wes utilizes a short, quick RH stroke and strong hands to drive line drives to all fields. He is relaxed in the box and always seems to be on time. Wes also runs well allowing his athleticism to play all over the outfield. While Wes can help you win in a number of ways, his highest ceiling may ultimately be on the mound where he has the look of a high-end starter.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
