08/15/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Tennessee, TN Weston Gillow is a C/SS who recently competed at the Ripken Experience. Defensively he looked very comfortable behind the plate at catcher. Showed great arm action and handled his pitching staff with ease. He also showed a very strong arm as his Throwing action are very good. At the plate he had a slightly open stance and used a toe-tap as his timing gage which proved to be very helpful for him as he was a very dangerous hitter throughout the tournament. He did not strike out once and had multiple extra base hits including two home runs and a triple. He is also able to use the entire field when hitting. And he proved to be in excellent runner as he had multiple good jumps when stealing bases.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
