01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Will is a young, lean, athletic, OF, who improved is 60 time from 7.15 to 6.97. He has good instincts and play skills in the OF and makes plays on balls hit his way. Will has a good transfer from glove to hand and his throw are accurate to the target. Defensive abilities can further improve with looser actions, more aggressiveness, and by playing more through the ball. Offensively, Will has good bat speed and balance. He creates backspin on the baseball and can really drive the ball. A wider base and shorter stroke should help his hitting and power grades further improve. Overall, Will is a very athletic player with good tools. A little bit of refining and he will get more looks from College Coaches.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
