10/26/2023 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Will is a 2025 SS out of Roy, Washington who showcased his skills during the BF Best of the West Tournament. At SS he shows athletic actions with quick footwork. Showed ability to close distance on batted balls with good fielding angles. He creates momentum towards his target, with an accurate arm, and an arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He shows good bat to ball skills with plus barrel control. In live game action he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 3 times with a single and was hit by a pitch 2 times. Will is coachable, works hard, hustles, and is a team player. We look forward to seeing Will at another event in the near future as he continues to develop and mature.

08/26/2023 - National Showcase - Spokane, WA Will is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At SS, showed quick feet and athletic actions. Works around baseball, with good direction towards target, and showed good lateral range. Loose arm action, with ability to throw from multiple arm angles, and made accurate/on-line throws with an arm velocity up to 83mph. Shows good actions of his DP feeds and pivots. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. Gets knob to C, with quick hands, and is centered at contact. He hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Will making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
