06/17/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 1 Will is a strong, athletic player who will graduate in 2011. Will participated in Omaha in the OF and on the mound, and he currently projects better in the OF. Defensively, Will gets good reads off the bat and he tracks the ball well. He catches everything he gets to, and throws accurately with a long / loose arm action. Will has average arm strength, and with added long toss, and improve agility, defensive numbers will further improve. On the mound, Will has a simple delivery and is online to the plate. He competed well during his time on the mound. Offensively, Will has good balance and short / quick hands. He has a compact swing and he puts the ball in play. Hitting can get better if Will can work the ball to all fields, and add physical strength.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
