05/12/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA William is a young, 2-way player who with a thin frame. At 2nd base, William has firm hands, active feet, and he fields in a square position. He has a quick exchange, gets rid of the ball quickly, and he throws with a long arm action with accuracy to his target. On the mound, William has a short arm action, level shoulders, and he keeps his eyes on target. Offensively, William has a square / athletic set-up, a proper load, and good balance. His swing is level, and he makes consistency contact. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
