05/12/2013 - College PREP - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA William is a young catcher that will graduate in 2018. Feet are active as he works in to his target through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.75-3.30 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program and he works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Receiving / blocking skills show as playable tools at the next level as he continues to improve and gets more instruction. At the plate, Jordan shows a balanced approach. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside and through the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. With 5 years to further develop, William has abilities with time and room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
