01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament William is a lean young outfielder. At the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament, he showed improvement in his 60 yd time (down to 6.92) highlighting what is one of his stronger tools. In the outfield, he gathers fairly well to throw with a crow hop. Throws are accurate. Glove actions are proper, and he plays through the ball fine. Would like to see him stay behind fly balls more and his arm stroke has a slight hitch in it at present. Offensively, William has a level swing path and controls the barrel. Swing is more of a push through the zone at times. He is barred out on his load and uses a toe tap to stride. Contact is mainly to the pull side. He has a lean frame and time to fill out. As he continues to improve his overall athleticism and make some slight mechanical adjustments, he should see steady growth in baseball tool grades.
