Official Scouting Report

  • 3Class Rating
  • 3B/SSPosition Projection

Exclusive College Recruiting Program very advanced hitter for a 2025 prospect with a projectable frame and developing athleticism. He shows a quiet load with balance and rhythm to allow for him to recognize pitches well and stay through the baseball. He uses his lower half efficiently with a short stroke producing leverage and staying on plane well. His approach is geared to use the middle of the field with carry and will profile as a true offensive impact player as he continues to mature and add strength and explosiveness to his frame. Defensively, he plays SS for his HS and travel programs moving very well his actions are smooth with body control and his feet work well with enough arm strength to stick on the left side of the diamond. He may potentially outgrow the SS position, but his athletic potential and offensive upside will profile very well at 3b and worst-case scenario can slide to LF or RF with the arm strength to handle both. He has worked hard to improves his run times down to 7.1 60 yard dash with increased strength through training and maturity. A huge upside to this young 2025 prospect who has current performance with an outstanding season at Georgetown Prep one of the top Private school programs on the East Coast and projection in his frame he is going to be a great impact player for a college program. Carrying a 3.5 GPA and with outstanding makeup and work ethic to go with glowing reports from his coaches.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Williams Twomey is a solid 2 way player in the 2025 class. Showed well on the mound as a RHP. Solid feel for his delivery, very good balance, gathers over the rubber and works with very good mound presence. Good movement on the Fastball (73-74mph) with sinking action. Also mixed in a CB (61-62mph) with tight spin and nice 10-4 break.

03/08/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD William is a very talented 2-way player (SS/RHP) who can make things happen in a variety of ways. With the bat, this righty stands in well with a square/athletic setup and centered balance. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as he connects and sprays line-drives to all parts of the field. At SS, he displays quick/active prep and moves well on the balls of his feet. He funnels smoothly, gains ground and fires accurate throws to 1B. He shows his athleticism and has the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. On the mound, Twomey has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot and loose/free arm action. He maintains fluid rhythm and stays directional toward the plate. FB ranges from 66-68 mph as he throws it for strikes consistently. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with sudden/late break. Changeup has sinking action as it compliments his FB well. William has a ton of talent with upside. He will continue to progress with work on the following.

Defense
1. DP Feeds
2. Arm strength (long toss)
3. Transfer/exchange
Offense
1. More lower 1/2 drive
2. Contact points
3. Load
Pitching
1. Lower 1/2 drive
2. Develop off-speed
3. Finish with extension

12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) William is a 2B/RHP prospect who made adjustments well during his time at the Winter Classic. In the field, William starts on the balls of his feet and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a two-handed exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, leading to accurate throws. Quickening his footwork to field can help William improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with his hands held low. He is smooth getting into his load and gets good extension through the ball with plus barrel control, leading to solid contact. William can improve as a hitter by taking a square stride to the pitcher. On the mound, William starts with a simple rock step and gathers to a balance point over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and takes a proper stride. His fastball sits from 55-60mph. Lengthening his arm action can help William improve as a pitcher. With six more years to develop, William has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
