02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Willin is a tall and attentive 3B that graduates in 2021. In the field, Willin gets good jumps off the bat with effective footwork and agile range. He fields the ball athletically and low presenting a confident glove out in front. His exchanges are clean as he creates momentum to the target getting rid of the ball quickly. He gets rid of the ball from the high 3/4 slot and delivers the throw with accuracy. At the plate, Willin shows a good aggressive approach and patient with pitch selection. Willin shows the initiative that he wants to get better by asking good questions and applying the information he learns in game. Willin works hard and will continue to grow and develop.

08/11/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Trenton, NJ Willin is an athletic 3B who will graduate in 2021. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Willin has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
