Official Scouting Report

06/03/2024 - National Showcase - Newnan, GA Wyatt is solid, strong 3B who is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Wyatt has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Wyatt is an athletic and talented 2023 2-way prospect that worked hard all week and made several adjustments throughout the week. At the hot corner, Wyatt is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and works through the ball. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Wyatt starts in a squared stance, loads his hands back, and is aggressive on the fastball. He needs to continue to get his front foot down on time, create backside rotation, and attack the inside part of the ball. On the bump, Wyatt gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has good tempo in his delivery. He needs to continue to extend thru his release point and work north to south. His fastball sits at 50-54 mph, and he keeps fastball arm speed with his changeup. Wyatt will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

03/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Ashburn (DC), VA Wyatt is a young 3rd baseman with a thin frame. Defensively, Wyatt has active feet, good pre-pitch actions, and he fields in a low/square position. He makes plays, has a clean exchange, and throws with momentum and consistency to his target. Offensively, Wyatt has a square/quiet set-up, and aggressive swing, and he makes consistent contact. Wyatt can improve skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Long toss
2. Release
3. Quicken feet
Offense
1. Rhythm
2. Balance
3. Lower body

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
