Official Scouting Report

08/06/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Dublin (Columbus), OH Wyatt has a smooth delivery on the mound and a clean/fluid arm action. His FB is in the low 80's, he gets good extension on his pitches, and lands in a controlled position. Wyatt competes in the zone and uses his lower body well. He has a solid pitchers frame and continues to show improvements.

08/07/2016 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Wyatt is an athletic 2 way player who will graduate in 2018. In the outfield, he shows fluid actions that allow him to work around the ball well and gather quickly to make strong throws in. On the mound, Wyatt has a clean/repeatable delivery with a 3 pitch arsenal consisting of a low 80's fastball, a curveball and a changeup. Working to keep his head on a line toward the catcher throughout his delivery will help with control. Offensively, he has a balanced setup followed by an on time stride/load that helps him hit the ball on a line to all fields. Wyatt will catch the eyes of college coaches as he continues to progress in this game.

08/02/2015 - National Tryout Plus - Dublin (Columbus), OH Wyatt is a skilled 2-way player who continues to show well. This RHP has a projectable frame that will continue to fill out as he physically matures. On the mound, arm works loosely as he stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges form 74-76 mph as he works it to both sides of the plate. Curveball has 12/6 shape with gradual action. He throws his CH with FB arm speed helping to create deception. Driving off the rubber more with his lower 1/2 will help to get more into his FB (add velocity). In the OF, Wyatt hustles to his right and left and tracks down fly-balls. He works behind the ball and has a clean exchange to throw. As a hitter - this righty shows a balanced setup with a solid base. He takes an aggressive hack, squares the ball up and drives it back up the middle of the field. Continuing to develop better rhythm/timing will help to him to grow as a hitter. Only a 2018 grad - Wyatt has a bright future ahead of him as he continues to work hard to improve.

07/25/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Wyatt is a talented RHP with a projectable body. He has a solid 3 pitch mix that includes a fastball with arm side run, a 12/6 curve with late bite, and a changeup with good fate. He gets to a good balance point and works fast keeping consistent mechanics. At the plate he has a closed stance, good balance, and uses his lower half well. He is aggressive with his approach and looks to jump on fastballs early in the count. Wyatt is a good athlete with lots of potential on the mound.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
