09/05/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Xander is an athletic versatile corner infielder and right-handed pitcher who made a strong impact while playing for Team Freedom at the All-Ripken Games. Offensively, he showcased impressive production, recording multiple extra-base hits, including a standout triple. His slightly open stance at the plate, combined with good rhythm during the load phase, allowed him to generate power effectively. He also demonstrated strong strike zone awareness, drawing multiple walks throughout the event. On the mound, Xander's fastball ranged from 60-63 mph, complemented by a breaking ball in the 51-53 mph range. As he works to refine his mechanics, focusing on keeping his eyes on the target during his delivery will help enhance his concentration and improve his ability to attack the strike zone. Overall, Xander’s combination of hitting and pitching skills makes him an exciting prospect to watch as he develops.

08/08/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cleveland, OH Alexander Falconer is a 1B/3B that recently competed at the All-Ripken Games. Defensively he showed fairly good actions as far as his mechanics were concerned, and he complimented that with really good throwing actions. At the plate, Alexander has good bat to ball skills as he only struck out once and reached base on 3 of 7 opportunities. His offense was highlighted by a 2B. Once he gets stronger with his top hand, and learns to stay above the baseball, he will be more of a threat at the plate than he already is.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
