06/13/2010 - College PREP - Medford (Boston), MA Yondo is an athletic, Senior SS with good skills. At SS, Yondo has good hands, athleticism, and arm action. He fields the ball cleanly, has a good approach, and throws accurately with life across the diamond. Yondo has the ability, and with more aggressiveness and a little polish, defensive grades will get better. At the plate, Yondo has good balance, bat speed, and barrel accuracy. He has quick hands, gets good extension to the ball, and he puts it in play. Yondo makes good use of his lower 1/2, and if he can loosen his actions a bit, offensive grades can spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
