07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Zach showed signs of improvement in all aspects of his game while at Pirate City. As a fielder he has a smooth glove and quick transfer but he needs to work 1st step quickness and taking better angles to allow himself to square up better on his throws. On the mound, Zach is athletic, repeats his delivery, throws strikes and has a good curveball. He needs to control his balance point (especially out of the stretch) and smooth out the tempo. Long toss, towel drill, and balance point drills will help. At the plate Zach does a good job letting the ball travel into the proper hitting zones and uses the whole field well, but he needs to start his load sooner, stride at the pitcher, and level out the swing path. He showed some good ABs during the games and is a coachable player.
