04/07/2013 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Zachary is a two way player that is a LHP/1B. On the mound, he showed a smooth delivery with a controlled balance point, level shoulders, and in line direction. He shows upside on the mound with a 11/5 curveball with power action and the ability to throw it for strikes. Zachary can improve pitching grades by getting more extension on his pitches reaching a complete finish as well as developing a changeup. Defensively, he showed sure/soft hands with a clean/quick exchange. His throws are accurate, fielding position is low, and picks the ball well. Zachary can work on playing more on the balls of his feet. At the plate, he flashes some pop and bat speed with the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. He displays a good load getting his hands back and short stride. Hitting grades will improve as he develops a stronger lower half and looser actions. Zachary projects best on the mound with a little bit of work in the areas above.
