Defensive Ability: As an outfielder and third baseman, Zachary displays solid defensive skills. 06/25/2024 - National Showcase - Bowie, MD Zachary is an athletic OF from Ellicott City, MD. Starts with active and efficient footwork and has a quick first step. Fields from a square fielding position with a clean gather off of his left foot. Shows a loose and quick arm with an arm velocity up to 61mph. He hits from an upright and square stance. He has quick hands and swings with intent. During his round of BP, he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 66mph. Zachary should improve in all phases of his game with continued growth and development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
