09/30/2015 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic Zack is an athletic 2-way player (RHP/2B) who showed well during his time in Arizona. On the mound, this RHP has an effective 3-pitch arsenal coming from a 3/4 arm slot and loose arm action. He works to a tall/controlled balance point and remains compact throughout his delivery. FB tops out at 80 mph while showing slight sink. He keeps it down in the zone - resulting in GB outs. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with gradual action. Working to stay on top with his release point will help to improve effectiveness. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed - helping to create deception. More extension on his follow through will help to improve effectiveness on all pitches. He is a reliable righty that will throw strikes and give his team a chance. At 2B - Zack takes a quick first step and moves well into a square fielding position. He gathers smoothly and has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. At the plate, this RHH has fluid rhythm to load with good balance. Barrel delivery is quick as he swings against a firm front side - working to engage his lower 1/2. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and pulls it with pop. Zack is a versatile player who will make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.
